Lesson 05.1

CAP / PACELC

CAP describes the choice between a current answer and an available answer during a network partition; PACELC adds the consistency-versus-latency choice while the network is healthy.

🍪 Two computers, one broken link

Ava and Ben are workers at a cookie shop. Ava changes the cookie stock on one computer. A second computer keeps a copy so Ben can check it. If their link breaks, that copy can be old.
