Canary rollout, feature flags & rollback criteria

A canary rollout exposes a change to a small comparable cohort, promotes it only while predefined guardrails hold, and rolls it back before a regression reaches most users.

A new tax calculation rejects valid orders

Ava sends the new cookie checkout to a tiny group first. When valid orders fail, the computer stops and sends that group back to the old version.
