API gateway & request aggregation

An API gateway is an entry point that can check access, route requests, and combine responses from multiple services under a shared deadline.

One page needs three answers

Ava wants the cookie page to show stock, prices and suggestions. Ben waits while the shop's computer asks each other computer in turn. One slow answer holds up the whole page.
